Welcome to the Janaka Foundation!
The Janaka Foundation is a non-profit foundation dedicated to the support of Ananda – a worldwide work based on the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda. Yogananda showed how everyone can realize God in their daily lives as a tangible, loving reality. Ananda was founded in 1968 by Yogananda’s direct disciple, Swami Kriyananda, who is widely recognized as one of the leading spiritual teachers in the world today. Yogananda’s teachings embrace the truths that underlie all great religions. People from all faiths and backgrounds are welcome at Ananda. Through your estate gift to the Janaka Foundation you are supporting the future of Ananda.
In Memoriam – Swami Kriyananda May 19, 1926 – April 21, 2013

New! Janaka Grants 2012
Five grants were given by the Janaka Foundation in 2012, made possible by Estate Gifts we have received. These grants went to supporting the following areas of Ananda: the Ananda Music Ministry, Ananda College, Ananda House assisted living, the Ananda movie “Finding Happiness” and the Foundation for a New Tomorrow. Please take a look at what each of these grants was able to accomplish!
